| Lisa Ross has actively practiced as a
massage therapist since 1993 with special
interest in the Manual Lymph Drainage Massage
(MLD) technique. Teaching and spa development
have also been a part of her career in the
holistic health field.
She has traveled extensively in Southeast
Asia, including Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos,
Cambodia and Nepal. On her many trips to SE
Asia, she researched spas, styles of massage
and, body treatments. She also spent extended
time at a health clinic in Bad Reichenhall
Germany, observing MLD, Hydrotherapy and other
spa procedures and practices, which has contributed
greatly to her knowledge and skills in the
wellness industry.
Lisa received training in the Vodder method
of manual lymph drainage and was also trained
by Ramona Moody French and Elizabeth Rubin.
She has experience with lymphedema disease,
edema in general, pre- and post-surgery massage,
cosmetic surgery and more.
"The longer I practice Manual Lymph Drainage
(MLD) the more enthusiasm I have for the work.
Each day we are being exposed to more information
on the Lymphatic System and its importance
to our general well being. We are also learning
the value in the lighter massage modalities
such as MLD. Clients come in for many different
issues, each brings a new situation, from
post surgical swelling, and injuries to weight
loss"..
"An exciting part of what I try to do, is
to pass along self care tips. I know as a
client myself, I want to be able to take home
things I can do on my own without a therapist,
I want to feel empowered with my own care
and take an active part of the healing process.
One of my goals is to help inform my own clients
on self care" and help them find their way
to health."
I look forward to helping you reach your
health goals.
Cheers,
Lisa Ross
